what'd you do!!??
These are the things that will be different. Different is good.
showtime
Instead of 8:30, we decided that if we started promptly at 8, we could have a FULL HALF HOUR more COMEDY!!! That is 30 minutes of the goods! The good and services that we bring to the table. The table that might have gum under it. Don't look under the table. Unless you dropped something under the table. Then, by all means, look for it. But do so with caution. Because, as I have previously stated, there may be gum.
FOrmat
Like most people, I hate change. However, what's change without change? Confused? Me too. Onward. With the new name, comes a slight change in format that should be beneficial for both comic and audience. We are going to make this both an open mic, and a showcase for comics. Each night will feature a mixture of 5 minute open mic spots, with 10 minute showcase sets for comics with PROVEN good sets. Lineups and times will be given to the comics in advance, as to not make any showtime confusion. If time is allotted at the end of a night, 1-3 minute spots will be given to work stuff out.
HOST
Who's to blame for all these shenanigans? This tomfoolery?
Rick Matthews is the culprit! He will be your new host/producer. Rick has been doing comedy in the Buffalo area for almost 5 years, and the first place he ever got on stage was at Nietzsche's. So, it is his honor to be taking the reigns on Tuesdays. Rick has been performing at Neitzsche's almost weekly since he started doing comedy. Also, Rick has hosted at Nietzsche's countless times. Well, you could probably count them. I wouldn't. Seems like a pretty boring task. But I welcome you to it. I happen to have on good authority that he will do whatever it takes to continue the great tradition that is Tuesday Comedy at Nietzsche's, and he will stop at nothing to ensure that this is a success. Except eating cottage cheese. He will not do that. He would rather see Tuesday's turn into polka open mic. Cottage Cheese be damned.
